Hey Reader,

Happy July! It is wild to me how half a year has passed.
How are we all doing?
For me, I took a short break and continued the experiment I started back in Jan 2025.
Yes, you read it right on the email title.

After 1.5 years, I am finally ready to share more! (Actually I did bits here and here last year and earlier this year but I was really busy with our Flexible Gumpaste projects and lessons I had to let this take a backseat- but I always believe in the right place and time, and now feels like the time)
I have sooooo much to share, because I am personally extremely excited about this new way of working with wafer paper flowers (because of how much time it saves, yet the results are so beautiful). Here's some sneak peaks of the work I have been silently working and experimenting behind the scene:
I launched by very first Wafer Paper Online Masterclass in the thick of COVID, and after 6 years, much have changed. For some, we are in a completely different season in our life, for some, making flowers and cakes are still very much close to our hearts.
But as the world progresses, we have seen sooooo many new ways of working with flowers. My real thoughts? I LOVE IT. I love seeing the expansion of ideas and creativity, the only beef I have is the speed or pace of things.
Sometimes it does feel like it is moving TOO fast, faster than how all of us can catch up. Tell me I am not the only person feeling this way?

One thing for sure though, is that change is inevitable. The question is how are we still going to stay true to our values, at the same time paying our bills, all while adjusting to the fast incoming changes, I am guessing... that is the hardest challenge.

This brings me back to why I took SO long to experiment this and how to share it authentically, in between the launch of a new masterclass last year, is, because I was searching how do I stay true to myself while sharing with the world a technique that openly claims "SAVE TIME, WORK EFFICIENTLY" - something I still struggle from time to time because not all art are meant to move so fast.
But some things I stayed true to myself all these years of teaching, is this:
- I strongly believe in solving problems I see in the real world.
When I first saw how edible flowers can be so light and ethereal in 2019, I was so psyched to bring it to the world, clearly remembering that wow this will really change the way people how people decorate cakes because of how light and how different they are.

- I strongly believe that there are always ways to improve things, to make better, more enjoyable.
Whenever I discover new ways to work on something, be it color theory, be it flexible gumpaste, or wafer paper flowers, I am always so excited to share. This high expectation of improvising has been a boon and bane of my life, but looking back I think it has done more good than harm :) Same goes for this new technique that I am about to share more soon.

- I truly believe in leaving the world a better place than the one I found.
This one doesn't require much explanation :)

When I was working on this technique (& of course every other skills that I have shared), I find that this is the best balance between my core values/ inner compass and what I create/ share/ teach.
If you have read all the way to the end, I think we are in sync!
Thank you for reading all the way, and I truly am so psyched to share with you all my findings, experiments, and many many beautiful wafer paper flowers made using my WKC FloralDust™ Technique❤️🌸

Something I truly deeply believe so many of you will be able to benefit and have so much joy ooze out from it! x
