I need to close this door, in order for me to open a new one❤️

Hey Reader,

Last week was probably the craziest week I had in a long time- all the ideas that I have been trying for so long that were not working... everything started working! And my hands and brain has been running non stop since.

What happened?

A mindset shift happened, and I shared it in this personal video:

I have been having so many creative ruts in the last year and to be very honest, I do feel dejected at times. It felt like nothing was working- and I wasn't exactly very lit up by my work- so I did what I usually share with others: try to do other things, and one day it will circle back to inspire you in what you are doing.

Either that, or you would have found a completely new direction. Both are wins.
(So yea, actually, everything was working, just not in the way I wish it would be)

The lesson I carry away here, is to keep showing up for what is important to me.

Creative expression is, art is. It gives me life and keeps me breathing. So what did I do?

  • I painted: Acrylics, watercolor on paper and edible paint on fondant.
  • I played with flexible clay: By now you would have seen the flexible flowers I make- and yes it opened up a new door for me!
  • I played with edible paper: yes there are different types of wafer paper ;)
  • I rested: There is this phrase in mandarin that says: Rest so you can walk longer.

And because I know this creative journey is important to me- I do what I can to protect it. Play often, rest often, work often- a good mix of everything.

And in the midst of all of it, alongside the new mindset shift, new ideas started flowing into me.

I will share more in the upcoming newsletters...keep close!

TODAY'S TIP: HOW TO GET OUT OF CREATIVE RUT:
Keep trying different things (even if you think they don't directly add value to what you are doing), and your creative muscles will be worked and inspired :)

P.S. Big changes are happening on my online school from May/June onwards:

  • Individual flower templates will not be available anymore- they will be sold as a bundle instead. So if there is a particular one you want, the time to get it is now.
  • Flower Bundles 1.0, 2.0, 3.0 will also not be available for enrolment anymore, (I am shifting them all into the Ultimate Flower Bundle)- those who are inside will not be affected, so yes if you want them now, don't miss out on your chance.
  • Signature Wafer Paper Masterclass will cease new enrolments after 30th April 2025 (students who are already inside will not be affected and still will get lifetime access) - use code "waferpaperflowers" to take 50% OFF (yes i have decided to change 25% to 50% for this last stretch). For those who have bought at 25% off, I will go ahead and refund you.
    WHY? See video above.

Hey Reader,How as your week been?Last week, I hosted Jessica from @jessiccaakestudio (check out her Instagram!) for a 4 days private workshop and I am so inspired. Every workshop I hold is transformative in its' own ways- sometimes through the flowers taught, sometimes through conversations exchanged- i think what really surfaces for me is seeing that students start to see themselves in a new light after they acquire brand new skill sets. Talk about having brand new energy, confidence &...
