How as your week been?

Last week, I hosted Jessica from @jessiccaakestudio (check out her Instagram!) for a 4 days private workshop and I am so inspired. Every workshop I hold is transformative in its' own ways- sometimes through the flowers taught, sometimes through conversations exchanged- i think what really surfaces for me is seeing that students start to see themselves in a new light after they acquire brand new skill sets.

Talk about having brand new energy, confidence & expertise :)​
Check out the flowers that she made and learnt:

In Jessica's 1:1 Private Workshop curriculum, she took away:

  • 10 different leaves & flowers: Sweet Peas, Cherry Blossoms, Tulips & leaves, Hydrangeas, Daffodils, Alstroemerias, Apricot Plums, Butterfly Ranunculus, Magnolia (A mixture of Wafer Paper & Gumpaste Flowers)
  • Gumpaste: How to make homemade gumpaste + storing them
  • Wafer Paper: How to confidently work with Wafer Paper and to create a more natural look for the flowers she makes
  • Dusting: How to dust sugar flowers so they come alive, how to layer on colors so colors look natural
  • Color Theory: How to mix and design with color palettes so her final flowers or designs will look cohesive and attractive + How to create these beautiful spring colors
  • Extra tips: Jessica also showed me her past work and got extra tips on how she can improve on the way she work with her flowers
